ORIGINS AND FORMATION

I am an artist, designer and creator of stories that intertwine art, fashion and design to give shape to the invisible essence of those who wear and create them. I was born in Sicily, a land of light and symbols, where every object has a soul and every detail tells a story. My life is an alchemical journey that starts from my hometown, Gela, passes through Palermo, Milan, Dublin, New York and Tokyo, and returns to my Sicilian roots, like a circle that closes to open to new beginnings.

I trained in Applied Art and Industrial Design in Palermo, and then specialized at the Politecnico di Milano in Luxury Design & Management, exploring creative storytelling for museums, art galleries, luxury brands and retail. Every step of my journey, from Sicily to the world, has been a discovery: of the codes of the soul, of the intrinsic beauty of things and of the potential to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Today, as an artist and founder of the Alchemical Art of the Soul movement, I tell stories through the creation of art paintings, pure silk scarves, bags, fabrics, wallpapers and objects for the home and hotel that blend tradition and innovation, matter and spirit.

WHY WAS J'ESSENTIA BORN?

J'ESSENTIA was born in 2020, at a time when I felt the need to unite my multidisciplinary talents in a single project that celebrated the essence of things, people and places. The name, “J'ESSENTIA” was born as a celebration of essence (in Latin essentia), a universal concept that unites the authenticity of those who create and those who live the creations. The "J" represents the creative and visionary soul of Jennifer, who has given life to a container where art, fashion and design merge to tell stories, evoke emotions and inspire personal expression. But "ESSENTIA" goes beyond Jennifer: it is an invitation to everyone, customers, ambassadors and creatives, to explore and manifest their uniqueness.

This name embodies the idea of ​​an open and inclusive brand, where each work – a dress, a bag, a scarf or a home object – becomes a means to tell about oneself and transform what surrounds us into a reflection of our soul.

I see J'ESSENTIA as a bridge between past and future, between tradition and modernity. My creations are not simple objects, but fragments of wearable and livable art, designed to tell stories and awaken emotions. Each piece is a declaration of love for authentic beauty, the one that goes beyond the surface to touch the soul.
